AN ONLINE CONFERENCE SPONSORED BY THE MANHATTAN INSTITUTE FOR PSYCHOANALYSIS AND THE SÁNDOR FERENCZI CENTER AT THE NEW SCHOOL FOR SOCIAL RESEARCH
As we confront the terrifying threat of climate change, the field of psychoanalysis has much to offer. Psychoanalysis can help uncover unconscious aspects of our resistances as we mourn current and impending losses, process distress and trauma and face the cultural and political challenges of climate injustice. This online conference gathers together analytic writers and clinicians along with a youth climate activist who brings the perspective of the next generation of environmental stewards. We hope to stimulate thought and discussion, inspire a greater sensitivity to this issue in the consulting room and foster inspiration for climate activism.
