LOW COST PSYCHOTHERAPY
Founded in 1980, the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis provides low cost psychotherapy to people in the New York Metropolitan area, including many students, actors, artists and others who do not have access to affordable mental health treatment in a private practice setting. In light of the changing mental health care climate, which emphasizes quick fixes and offers limited resources to people seeking individual treatment, programs like ours are essential to fill the gap left by insurance company policies.
TRAINING & EDUCATION
MIP offers an intensive and comprehensive psychoanalytic training program, a license-qualifying program in psychoanalysis, a certificate program in trauma studies, and a one-year program in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
