There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.

The Sexuality and Gender Initiative (SGI) aims to emphasize and expand awareness and education about sexuality and gender at MIP. We recognize the increasing diversity and complexity of people’s lives, relationships, identities and expressions of sexuality and gender while also striving to maintain a visible LGBTQ presence.
Our activities include study groups, peer supervision, presentations by speakers, annual co-sponsored colloquium speakers, and several other projects about sexuality and gender, as well as collaboration with MIP’s Multicultural Committee.
All MIP candidates, graduates, faculty and supervisors are welcome to attend our meetings and are eligible to join our committee. We invite you to bring your interests in specific topics related to sexuality and gender or to present a clinical case for peer supervision.
